a bit of background on this strip.

when I was younger, my hippie-ish parents were into nudist colonies. from eight years old to my earliest teenage years, my parents would drag me out there every weekend.

I hated it there. there were very few kids my age, and we were all damned if we cooperated with this nude thing. but all the adults were there, hanging out in more ways than one. it seemed bizarre to me, and I was deeply ashamed of going.

regardless, living at such a place would definitely impact me one way or another. being a kid in a nudist colony was a tough go when you’re trying to learn about your sexuality, but perhaps it made me see things in a way that would inevitably lead to me doing a comic like sexy losers.

one of the things that clothes were No Big Deal. outside of the camp, clothes determined everything about you, your clothes were your social identity. but when everyone is naked, there were no more groups and divisions, and everyone was the same.

back in the real world, it always puzzled me why someone’s clothes would be the blame for something. especially rape. at the nudist colony, I saw a lot of naked people just doing living stuff. swimming, sunbathing, playing chess, talking at a bar, dancing, cooking, playing tennis, you name it. I also happened to see a lot of penises too. and never, ever, did I see anyone with a boner. ever.

so if men in the real world couldn’t control themselves if they saw a woman in “slutty” clothing, how come they can control themselves if everyone’s freaking naked? this inconsistency couldn’t be explained unless that idea that clothes “ask for it” was complete and utter bull. men can handle the clothing. they’re just looking for a way to victim blame.

Oh, so Dan and I had a really huge fight on Father’s Day.

I said something that I really shouldn’t have said, and should have kept private, to his brother who could possibly say it front of his grandmother.

I felt bad that during the entire fight I kept trying to turn it around onto him and how I felt and blah blah. I really need to grow up and stop using tactics like that. Trying to turn something that I OBVIOUSLY did wrong into making him feel bad about telling me.

I need to just fess up, say I’m sorry, and never do it again. Not drag it out.

i really wanna go to the weight room at my gym, but i’m so scared and nervous. How do i get over that? :c

I was nervous at first. I used to lift about a year ago and I got over it only because my workout partner Tyree wanted to lift.

Just walk in and do your thing. Ask questions, everyone is happy to help. Google stuff.

If you are in the rack and need a spotter, anyone would be happy to help. No one wants to see someone get hurt in the rack.

If you are going into the weight room/area invest in some lifting gloves. Only will cost you 14 bucks up to 30 bucks. It will save your hands from getting calluses and give you a better grip.

Make sure to take the weights off of everything you do. No one likes that asshole in the gym to leaves their 50lb weight on the bar hahaha.

If you find guys leering at you (which does happen, BE WARNED) just set your weights down, take your headphones off, and walk over to them and let them know that their staring is making you incomfortable. DONT BE AFRAID. THEY NEED TO LEARN.

But seriously, lifting is the best thing you can do weight loss wise. You get the best results with lifting added to your cardio. Weight room will seem scary at first, but after a week or two, you will realize most people are focused on pushing out that last rep than you.

I respect an overweight girl at the gym trying to get fit. I respect an underweight girl at the gym trying to get fit. I respect a 50 year old man at the gym trying to get fit. I respect really anyone at the gym trying to get fit.
