sirenalexandra sent: If you are looking for something cheap and clears skin, whats really working for me is African Black Soap. I got it for like $3 at a health food store, its really good!! Also, at night time sometimes i will use dove soap, and i sometimes moisturize my face with St. Ives natural lotion, for your body but its good on my face too because it doesn't have too many chemicals. Along with all that if I get a really bad pimple, its not good if you use it alot but hydrogen peroxide. Hope this helps!

Googled it and it looks amazing! I might have to go out and buy some tomorrow. I’m reading that some people pair it with witch hazel or tea tree oil as a toner (not sure if using a toner would be harmful) and then normal moisturizer.

I will have to try the hydrogen peroxide! My skin care routine has been Clean and Clear daily pore cleanser, their astringent, and the Clean and Clear Persa gel 10. It’s way too many products and the cost really adds up. Plus afterwards I HAVE to use a heavy moisturizer since my skin feels dry as bone.

Also, in case you didn’t know, you can use hydrogen peroxide (diluted in water) to whiten you teeth. It’s been approved by the dental association and a proven way to white teeth without harming them.

em-humes sent: Hey! I came across your tumblr and it was so helpful! I'm 5'1 and actually used to run college cross country but over the course of the last year due to family and personal stresses went from 120 to 150lbs. My goal is to get back down to 120. I just love your blog, I have yet to find a lot of short girls out there who are in the same boat. Keep up the good work!! :)

I loved cross country!!! I really wish I had started it earlier in HS (might not have gained any weight in the first place haha).

The one thing I loved is that whenever anyone says “I just ran my first 3k ever!” I just think, wow, I’ve ran at least 30 3ks. Plus you get the benefit of always being able to get back into running. I haven’t ran in a few months, but I could go out right now and continuously run 20 min no problem.

But I know you can do it! It’s only 30 lbs :) Better than having to lose 60 or 70lbs. Good luck! Sorry for the reply being so late!!!

m00ning sent: hi! i love your blog a lot and i find it inspirational. it's made me want to get active and tone out my body but i have no hope, i dont know what to do or how to do it. im planning on thinning out my stomach by the end of march, but i am being too lazy i need advice please help! also, one of my other goals is to have feet together, thighs apart but im having trouble, please help!

Alright, I’m going to impart my year’s worth of fitblr wisdom.

1st of all, spot reducing is a common myth. You cannot do a million sit ups to get a flat stomach. You just need to lose weight and see where your body takes fat away from. Odds are, you body is a predetermined shape. For some people, they will always have a pooch, and some will be able to get a flat stomach no problems.

Don’t focus on one body part, focus on overall health and muscle building. By the way, building muscle will NOT, I repeat WILL NOT make you look ultra muscular and manly. It takes a very specific diet+ exercise to get that look. You will just get curvy muscle that will make you look skinnier. I promise.

Please please please please please do not having a thigh gap as your goal. It’s all based upon bone structure, not weight. It’s about the size of your hip bones. So for some girls, no matter how much weight they lose, they will not have thigh gaps. Plus no one really cares if you have a thigh gap. I didn’t even know they existed until I got a fitblr. So please, for the love of god, get that thigh gap idea out of your head.

Just focus on overall healthy, muscle building, exercise, and self love. The weight loss will be an added benefit if you follow that path. Don’t take shortcuts and don’t restrict since it will catch up to you. I promise you, it will.

makemydreamsreality sent: Ok, I guess you noticed already.. I just found your blog and it's great! Especially the informative posts page is AMAZING, I basically liked every second post to not forget a thing about it! :)

Crap I my inbox didn’t notify me to any messages that I have received  Sorry for the reply being so late!!

Thank you!! I made that page specifically for some of tumblr’s best fitblr posts. I wanted an easy access page to it instead of having to scroll through my 1000+ likes page or anyone else to do that haha.

Anonymous sent: Why are you closing your etsy shop? Your bracelets are beautiful!

They are beautiful, but I honestly don’t have the time in my life to keep making them. Each one takes about an hour to an hour & a half to make. I’d rather use that time to exercise, study real estate investing, read a book or something else.

It’s not financially profitable for me anymore to keep making them. Sometimes I have to go to the bead store which costs me 5 dollars in gas just to get one 2 dollar charm. And if someone bought a 9 dollar bracelet, then I’m already 7 dollars down. Whatever is left doesn’t even cost the minimum wage labor costs I should be adding onto my bracelets, which I don’t do. If I did, they would cost more than mass marketed bracelets and no one would buy them at all.

This is why handmade sellers have such a hard time which is really sad.

I’m also closing because I don’t need what little money I get from bracelets anymore. Events in my life has transpired where I’m financially better off. Also I will be starting a new internship where hopefully I will be getting a job out of it. So because of that, I want to focus most of my energy there :)

Thank you for saying they are beautiful :)

gonnagetthatbody sent: ofcourse I like peanut butter! just wondering if its healthy or something bc I had no idea why everybody here likes it extra much

It is TOTALLY HEALTHY. If you get the right kind of course.

This Jiff crap?

Unhealthy. Get organic peanut butter or raw peanut butter. They sell huge tubs at Costco or check the natural aisle in your grocery store. If you live near a trader joes, get their organic creamy peanut butter. It’s all natural and it’s really really good. It takes some getting used to since it doesn’t have the rich buttery taste of Jiff, but after a few tastes, you start to really like it :)

Also almond butter is a really great nut butter that has a low glycemic index which delays the amount of sugar going into your system which stops fat storage in it’s place.

Anonymous sent: Hey i run 2-3 miles everyday 6 days a week sometimes 5 because i go the gym the 6th day. I find it really hard towards the end of the week to run my normal miles is this normal? Then when i take a days break and start again im fine?

Hmm, I have no idea honestly. Anyone want to give this girl any advice or insight onto her problem?

Anonymous sent: Can i have some motivation please? since christmas i've started my running again after about a week of and i just walk half of it now when i'm not even tired. I just don't think i'll ever get my dream body :(

I feel the same way :/ For the past two days, no matter how much I eat, I don’t feel full. I have no motivation to exercise.

We need to change that though, since once you get into it, you feel fucking amazing.

Think about going into a mall without dreading trying on clothes. Dreading that moment where you go up a dress size. Think about how awesome your body will feel with all that amazing healthy food. Never getting a stomach ache, having shiny hair, extra energy and etc.

Also, when you run, just put on a shuffle playlist and don’t think. Just look around you and run. Run all your frustrations out and once it’s over, it’s over.

Don’t think, just do.

Anonymous sent: I'm so glad I don't live in the United States. No one needs to own an assault rifle.. If the weapon of choice in the massacre was intact a club as you used in your example then I don't believe 20 people would have died. Guns kill fast. There's no need for them to be in the hands of everyday people like you and I. We have far less gun related deaths and I am so grateful for where I live. And how dare you even suggest that if the teachers had a gun they could have prevented this. Disgusting.

You know, I wish I lived in a place where assault rifles (by the way, I was talking about a hand gun, not a shot gun) don’t need to be carried, but that’s the world. I hope to god when I buy a gun, I’ll never need to use it. But in the off chance that I do, I’ll thank god that I do.

It’s true though. If I had been a teacher at that school and a gunman had walked into my class, boom, I would have shot him straight in the chest. He wouldn’t have killed my students. Simple logic.

morganfitness21 sent: Hey :) I'm a new follower, and I was just curious as to what you have done to try and love yourself. I'm having trouble with that lately. Sometimes it's because of regret, an sometimes I just hate myself for no reason.

For me it’s an ongoing battle right now since I’m fighting depression.

But I just get up everyday and do what I’m supposed to do and try as hard as I can not to emotionally cut myself. Emotionally cutting yourself is taunting yourself with things that will mentally hurt or getting down on yourself.

So each day I’m trying to keep positive thoughts and whenever I look in the mirror, I try to tell myself one thing I like about myself. Today was my eyebrows look very amazing and I can learn anything.

Thats all I can pretty much tell you, it’s a personal thing that is different for everyone. Find what works best for you, even if it’s sitting down and writing a list about things you can do, how great you are, and etc.
