Anonymous sent: Hi Sarah! Congrats on your progress and your positive attitude always! I wanted to ask you, isn't too high trying to reach for 2065 cals/day? Did you do the equation from the Insanity nutrition guide? I know you are not following the diet, just wanted to know if you considerate the suggestions from the nutrition guide. Also, why aren't you following the Insanity nutrition guide? You didn't like it or what are your reasons? Hope you can answer, thank you! :)
I really need to change my faq, I definitely am not eating 2065 calories a day. When I calculated that calorie count, I was using the Insanity nutrition guide since at the time, I was doing Insanity.
I stopped doing insanity since I just couldn’t keep up and I had no fun doing it. It felt like a chore and trying to force myself to do it wouldn’t have been a great long term thing for me.
But diet wise, I have taken some ideas from Insanity and have used them. One of my favorites was a whole wheat english muffin topped with a little bit of pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese to create 2 mini pizzas which I would pair with some veggies or something else healthy. Also some of the protein shakes and oatmeal recipes.
I just have a really hard time eating consistently. And meeting my daily calorie requirements. I barely hit 1400 each day. It’s not on purpose, I just incorporate food as a secondary need which I shouldn’t do and I’m trying to fix.
I’m actually on the Chalean Extreme program at the moment and when I did that in the past, I had a really awesome time with it. I could see a difference in 3 weeks, the meal plan was easy to follow, the exercises were challenging but in a good way, and I was eating more consistently.
Sorry for the long reply, but that was the only way I could explain everything correctly :)
