To explain this picture, here is a story that happened:
I decided to try eggplant for the first time. So instead of chopping it with a knife, I decided to use my mandolin slicer:

But the egg plant’s skin was being stubborn. So I was stupid and pushed from near the bottom and bam, I sliced a little skin on the tip of my middle finger. It didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. I kept trying to stop the bleeding but even after putting pressure down for a few minutes, it still kept bleeding a lot.
But I finally stopped it after covering my entire slicer in droplets of blood :P And then I put on liquid bandaid…..I screamed from the 2 minutes of pain from the antiseptics. But now, everything is mucho better :)
And that is the story where I learned to never cut egg plant on a mandolin slicer…and to never hold anything on there near the base.
