Laughing at a post that says fitspo is just as bad as thinspo.
Really? They said having a pizza at night with your friends shouldn’t be a cheat meal. That we shouldn’t obsessively be exercising 6 days a week, counting calories, drinking protein shakes, and etc.
Um I know myself pretty well and I cannot have just one pizza. I’m getting over an addiction to food and right now…. I cannot have just “some pizza”. I’ll eat the whole fucking thing.
Everyone should exercise 30 minutes a day to maintain and be healthy. You drink protein shakes so you can refuel your body with calories lost during working out and to promote muscle growth. You only count calories to figure out how much you are eating and then you get the fuck off of counting calories and eyeball it.
Here is the post:

Also no one says “we are in recovery”. I’ve only heard that applied to individuals with an eating disorder.
Also we are telling people to get healthier and fit…WHICH THE BODY IS FUCKING MEANT TO DO. When you do that, you are going to change. So yes we are telling people to change, but not in the way you are saying.
I’m just sick of a select few individuals who are ED recovering and bashing fitspo. Most of us in the fitspo arena aren’t in your position. A lot of us are trying to drop the weight we got from just plain overeating. An addiction to food. I need some “rules” to keep me on track sometimes. Once I get used to it, then I can eat pizza sometimes without eating 5 silces but only 1 or 2 and ENJOYING IT.
Just sick of ridiculous shit and someone always trying to bash everything and anything. Ugh lol
I don’t want to get any hate for this, just kinda venting a little.
I feel like there is a fine line between being body positive, and accepting an unhealthy lifestyle. I’m totally for loving yourself, I mean getting skinny won’t automatically mean you will love yourself completely.
But at the same time, I see many people use that as an excuse not to get healthier. Thinking, or at least what I think they are thinking, is “hey I can stay unhealthy now since there is no reason for me to get healthy anymore. “.
Not true. You don’t get to 300/400/500 lbs without eating more than you can burn off and never exercising; except in some cases. That to me should be unacceptable. Accepting and glorifying a lifestyle in which you eat processed unhealthy food like products and/or being stagnant. The human body isn’t made for that. It was made for fresh food. Food that comes from the ground, a tree, a bush, or an animal. It was made to exercise, reach new heights, run, jump, and etc.
Sometimes I see body positivity go in such a direction that it goes past it’s original meaning and demonizes other people and glorifies someone else. I don’t want to glorify an unhealthy body otherwise what is the point of me getting healthy? It just conveys the message that you don’t need to improve, but to settle.
It’s a topic where it’s means are awesome, but it’s interpretation can run away with it’s self. You should love yourself no matter what. But using it as an excuse not to improve yourself and reach your full potential shouldn’t ever be ok.
Can’t wait to go grocery shopping tonight. I’ve been living off of really unhealthy food for the past 4 days.
I’ve been dreaming of fresh bananas, apples, steamed veggies, fresh cooked lemon chicken, clean turkey chili, clean southwestern chicken 2 bean soup, oven baked egg plant, and a denver egg white scramble….
mmmmmmmmmmmm
Loving fresh lemon juice in my water :)
Took one lemon and cut up enough lemon wedges to fill about 16 glasses of water :) Oh yes.

Using the magic bronner’s soap + moisturizer has done WONDERS for my face.
Srsly. My face feels cleaner, less acne (I’m talking only 2 to 3 versus 6) and my face is softer.
I’m now going to add witch hazel astringent into my routine (an 100% natural toner). I tried some today and it got a lot of gunk out without drying out my face. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. Since with my old routine of clean and clear, my skin felt like I had just injected botox into my face.
In a few days some handmade moisterizer and black african soap I bought from Etsy should be arriving to bring my healthy natural skincare routine full circle :) Even found some awesome handmade 100% natural conditioner. NO CHEMICALS.
Just another step to be healthy inside and out :)
- look into his eyes
- grab his waist
- whisper sensually in his ear, “ravioli, ravioli, give me the formuoli”
this is why tumbr has a hard time getting dates
as a male, I’d be pretty damn seduced if this was done to me.
