I think this picture already says it all and there isn’t really much for me to add.
There are so many posts on my dash about wanting slim legs,”finally being able to look good in shorts”, to have that thigh gap, and not have to worry about the jiggle.
It’s never gonna happen.
As you can tell in the first picture I have a thigh gap. But the moment I sit on some sort of surface my thighs look MASSIVE. All the “fat” is pushed to the sides and it looks like I suddenly gaine 100lbs. That is normal!
I don’t want to lecture you so I’ll keep it at that. It was the hardest thing for me to accept, and till this day I still struggle to acknowledge it every time I sit down but hey, that’s what it is and always will be like! Might as well live with it.
Does that mean I have thunder thighs? No. Does that mean I look disgusting in shorts? No. Does that restrict me from rocking my shorts? No.
It’s okay. It’s normal. It’s healthy!

I had a wonderful support system being the big girl. And big is beautiful. Everyone is beautiful. But your own health and well being should be reason enough to change—not change who you are, but recognize what you can become. Reach your full potential. Gain a healthy lifestyle so you can be around a lot longer. It’s not about looking better, it’s about feeling better and treating the inside of your body better.
